The Effect of Information Exposure on Husbands' Knowledge of Maternal Emergency Prevention Through Dietary Pattern Adjustment

Abstract
Pregnancy emergencies are events that need to be prevented, through
nutritional control. Husbands play an important role in knowing the nutritional
regulation of pregnant women to control pregnancy so that it remains normal.
This study aims to determine the effect of information exposure on husbands'
knowledge about maternal emergency prevention through nutritional pattern
regulation. The research method used is a corss sectional study which will be
conducted in April 2025 in Makkassar City and Gowa Regency. This study
involved as many as 399 samples that were drawn using accidental sampling.
The data was collected through a google form questionnaire and tested
through the chi square test on SPSS. The results of the data study showed that
husbands who were exposed to information had a good level of knowledge as
many as 278 people (69.7%), and only 42 people (10.5%) had less knowledge.
On the other hand, husbands who were not exposed to information, knowledge
were 33 people (8.3%), and 46 people were less (11.5%). The results of the chi
square test showed a value of p = 0.000 (p < 0.05), there was an effect of
information exposure on the husband's knowledge about maternal emergency
prevention through the regulation of nutritional patterns. Conclusion;
Exposure to information affects the husband's knowledge about maternal
emergency prevention through the regulation of nutritional patterns.
